FG Buys 70,000 Software Support For Permanent Voters Card

In a bid to ensure free, fair and credible elections in 2015, the federal government has approved a contract for the supply of 70,000 software development and support for Permanent Voter Card Radio Frequency Identification RFID Readers. Information minister, Mr. Labaran Maku, who hinted this, said the approval which was given at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday followed a memo presented by President Goodluck Jonathan himself, following the need to acquire160,000 Smart Card Readers in order to authenticate the permanent voter card at the polling units during the 2015 general elections.
