Mr Matthew Willsher, acting chief executive and chief commercial officer of Etisalat Nigeria speaks to CHIMA AKWAJA on how the network is going the extra mile to address subscribers needs, quality of services, rewards systems for high value customers and plans for the next five years of operation
As the year winds down, what are your plans for 2014? First, you have to get the basics right in terms of people being able to make calls, send texts and so on. We track our quality of service everyday. We make sure things like call connections, call drops and availability of base stations are not ignored because they are the foundations. Some of the things we are looking forward to, next year, include playing a deeper role in the e-commerce space. I think there are lots of opportunities for telecoms operators to contribute to cashless transactions. I think we can do a lot there.
